2007 4.3L Mercruiser Engine MPI Alarm

Now that I am thinking about it and researched it a little. Is it possible the sea water circular pump on the engine has failed or is failing? Trying to also determine if the water pump is before or after the water pressure sensor as far as flow?

Agreed, but the engine isn't overheating and that's a new water pressure sensor.

2007 4.3L Mercruiser Engine MPI Alarm

I'm looking for a bit of guidance and a fresh perspective. I do understand the issue should ultimately be diagnosed via computer, and I already have that scheduled. The problem arises at around 3500 RPMs, where I get a single, constant alarm along with a slight reduction in power. When I reduce...

    4.3L mercruiser engine

exactly! unless the thermostat is stuck open. But shouldn't a code by thrown for that as well?

    4.3L mercruiser engine

Yes, the water pressure is way too low, what doesn't make sense is that if the water pressure sensor is faulty, I would expect that it would throw a code and that the engine temperature isn't anywhere near what it is supposed to be. Which is throwing me for a loop. I ordered a new water...

    4.3L mercruiser engine

So I connected my vessel view and ran it under load and took multiple snap shots. I am getting an alarm at idle when I first start the boat and again above 3500 rpms. The oil temperature and engine temperature, I believe are very low. The other concern is the water pressure is also very low...

Follow up Mercruiser 4.3L MPI Single Alarm

All- I posted previously about receiving a single alarm at approximately 2000 rpms on a 2007 Sea Ray Sport 185 4.3 L Fuel Injected engine. Fast forward and I have now replaced practically every mechanical and electrical component for this boat that could potentially cause the alarm (water...

After tomorrow, thats going to be the case cause he is calling it quits and can't figure it out. Talked to my buddy who said it could be the ignition control valve. Problem is that im 14 hours into work at 125/hour and no solution. I almost want to ask him to check it but if its that im...

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

@dubs283. I found the connection to the ECM to have it scanned as I hooked up the vessel view to it. I just got off the phone with the boat mechanic and he said that he has never had to do this before but he is tapping out cause he can't solve the issue. He spoke with mercury technicians and...

4.3L MPI 2007 Searay Sport 185. Single Alarm at 20 RPMs and higher

So follow up. Boat being looked at by a mechanic. They’re are “thinking” it’s the rotor because the metal tab was broken. My concern is that there isn’t a plug that attaches that communicates with the ECU. Would this trigger an alarm with no electronic connection?
