    I thought the same thing. Talking to my friend in SD to get some connections for old manuals as well as parts. I might even start rebuilding stators since the seem to be made of gold. Especially the 35A versions.

    I have charged the battery for a couple days and it will hold up to 45 mins of testing before dropping to 12.5 volt and still turn the motor fast enough to "run" so I'm pretty sure a load test will prove good but I'm buying a new battery just in case I burn this one out.

    1990 evinrude 200hp v6 power pack wiring

    My 1990 200XP is single Power Pack (replaced with new CDI pack) but will only run while the starter is engaged and the key is in the start position. I disconnected the yellow wires from the regulator to make it fire at and was told by CDI tech support it definitely was a bad stator. Any advice?

    1990 evinrude 200hp water valve delete

    Is there a forum that covers electrical issues with my Evinrude 200XP? I replaced the power pack and that fixed my no spark issue but it will only run under starter power with the key in the start position. Any help before I buy a $450 stator or a $270 voltage regulator???
