    75HP has a different gear ratio according to my OEM repair manual, it also shows 65 and 75 both have under 3" bore. I will have to check the gear ratio on the lower that came off the 75. There is no telling what parts have been changed on these old engines. All are 20" mid section, don't know...

    Looked at this thought I could help. Just swapped power heads and had to mount the wires and relay box on the replacement. My trim gauge just quit last time out and found a broken black wire loose in the plug. Thanks!

    Looking for a fuel pump or kit (1967, 60 HP)

    I think that pump runs off vacuum from crankcase. Should be able to run a later model pump and mount around the same spot.

    Complete removal of vro components

    I would delete and install basic fuel pump. Premix 16oz oil to 6gal of gas try to stay away from alcohol blends. When it runs out of oil it also runs out of gas! Doesn't hurt to run a little rich on oil, spark plugs are less expensive than overhaul.

    I have a Johnson 70HP VRO engine on an old boat I am restoring, thankfully the VRO is already gone. Take that VRO fuel pump off and buy a regular fuel pump without oil injection.
