    Swapping ECM had no effect, so I am presuming it is good. Exposing the wire bundle hasn't revealed any problem so far. Not really sure what more to try.

    it's hunting a hundred or two rpm, not consistently. I will attempt to trace the wire tomorrow if I can and report. If I can't find any problem with it can I swap the ECM with the Port one? to test. Thanks for the replies, very frustrating.

    I just completely bypassed the connector, wired a direct ground and jumped purple switch wire to purple harness wire, no change. I don't think its related but is idling a little high and hunting a little, probably need an IAC.

    Yes, TBI. I do have continuity from black to switch to ground. Have completely disconnected wiring harness again looking for missed ground or other connection but haven't found anything
