    I want to thank everyone that gave me their advice on fixing my omc 800.I really thought the backwards cables was the answer,but now when I push the control forward it points to forward on the. Indicator on sterndrive but it goes in reverse and vice versa put in reverse it goes forward, now...

    I have a question I hope someone can answer My shift lever when you push forward actually is in reverse and vice versa ,it is a single cable so how do I fix.It runs great in reverse but falls on its face in forward maybe because it's not supposed to go fast in reverse? Please help

    Motor runs but in water dies when throttled

    Yes it is a marine carburetor and no I have not not checked the full length of the fuel line. I bought the boat with the existing problems from a friend that really didn't tell me everything, I will check the entire fuel line

    I have 81 sunrunner 18ft with 3.8 v6 and omc sterndrive compression 150 all cylinders I have replaced points condensor,fuel pump,and just put on new carb,new fuel in clean tank runs great on the muffs but when I put into the water it idles great but when I power up it dies any suggestions
