    I have always done a. As a problem STARTS to occur. Do the inspection. Replace as needed. P M of parts and labor ? Just another way of giving money to a company. Companies still want oil changes and filter every 3,000 miles. Is modern oil so terrible ? Are the air filters so terrible ?

    So glad I got rid of brand new Chevy 1967 Chevy convert. SS 396. It ate hydraulic lifters. Wife drove it mostly. That is when I bought a first Honda shoebox sedan 1975 ? First year they sold them in USA. BEST CAR ...EVER MADE !!! No PM BS It ran forever. Replaced floor sheet meat 3 times...

    How do you screw into fiberglass/gelcoat without chipping?

    Think of a Fibreglass surface. Then put onto it a coating that dries as hard as glass. I pilot the hole to be as wide as the widest part of the screw shank. Maybe .010 " larger. Then only the screw is pulling UP on the unseen inside surface.

    I use a micrometer to get the right sized drill for the final pilot hole

    You hit a moose at 50 mph ? You will be written off. If it comes thru the windshield. Saw some tests with moose dummies and remote control of the car.

    My faulty memory of the Kiekauefer outboard crash tests on Lake X about 1957. They ran the boat thru a concrete SLOTTED wall opening. Their results proved that L U damage was total by both. I can not find any records of those violent prop blade tear offs.

    Old wives tale. Aluminum props do break drives. Real crash tests proved there is little difference..
