    1986 murcury 60hp only starts and runs in high idle.

    My boat engine will only start and run in high idle if moved below 50% throtle engine stops like you turned the key. Mechanic did an oil leak down test and said #3 cylinder leaks like a stuck pig. Is there anything I can do to repair or is the motor scrap?

    Leak Down Test ??

    What options do you have for a two stroke that failed a leak down test? Is the motor complete scrap at that point or can you reboar the cylinders?.
