    So I managed to get the tank out and of course found the rotten wood I expected to find. Also found a the leak in the bottom. Some flawed fiberglass work and a pretty small area that had delaminated. The center board is wet but appears to be rock solid. The rear bulkhead is completely gone and...

    Thanks for the welcome and I’ll try not to let the project go cold. This is actually the second boat I’ve ever owned and just got love drunk on the Glastron and couldn’t say no to the project. I’m sure I’ll need some help and wisdom from experienced guys.

    Thanks, seemed like he spent a lot of time documenting his project and then it just went cold. Docmirror I think was his user name. Either way I’m doing pretty much what you described, gut it and see just how bad it gets and deal with the consequences lol.

    There was a fella restoring a cv-23 about a year ago and his post’s just ended it seems. Didn’t know if anyone knew the outcome of the restoration project. I’m starting the exact project he was working on an identical boat.
