    Well this sucks… no easy way to get this cover off due to the bottom bolts having no room to come out. Plus the cover is stuck on tight. Does the whole powerhead have to come out in order to open this thing??

    Lol funny you mention it, I JUST ordered a new gasket for the “water passage” (part# 26 in the diagram below) because that’s another one that I’m thinking could use replacing. Could very well have some blockages in there.

    The repair shop took care of the lower unit so I haven’t seen the condition of that tube but the motor is peeing VERY strong now so I don’t think there could be a blockage that early in the cooling circuit. If all else fails after I clean the cylinder channels I will check there next.

    Yes, I only tested in Fahrenheit. We didn’t drive it that much. I just did a bunch of temperature scans at once and wrote everything down. I’m going to start with the head gasket and go from there. I’ll deal with the horn later assuming I can solve the overheating issue.

    FYI - this clip is from this past weekend. Was testing the motor after the new water pump/impeller was installed. You can hear the high-pitch ringing noise coming from the motor. It’s very faint but it’s there.
