    new impeller for 1980 evinrude

    Dealer told me the impeller for the flat shaft (the impeller does not have a slot for the half moon key, just a peice of plastic for the key) is now used on the old half moon key, drive shafts. Is this so????? Am I doing something wrong? I cant" beleave I am the only one with this problem...

    Recirculation valves on reed valve block

    Which way is the flow. I ran a wire through two of them & now think I broke them. I could not get flow through them. I can't get low pressure flow into them to reed block or other end of hose into block. The choke also puts fule in block as same place 1" away.?????????????????????? Thanks...

    cd meter how does it work???

    cd , capasitor discharge meter, what is so special about it? can I use a vom meter to check voltage on a cd type outboard and why not. Can I make something to adapt it to do so???? Thanks

    1980 100 hp evinrude runs erratic

    Misses, spits, or backfires and dies at idle in lake. On garden hose it runs away, dies suddenly in nutural, and no start lever. Tack. not working. Won't idle at all. Ran ok at faster speeds in lake. but coughs and dies when trying to put in gear.<br /> New carb kits installed, gas new to...
