    5.7L max rpm is 3800

    I've got a 1994 Chaparral 220SLC with a 5.7 mercruiser. When ot in gear, the rpm's will g above 3800 RPM, but when trying to run full open I get a max of 3800 no matter what prop I use. Any ideas???????
