    Limited boat use should i buy a I/O or outboard

    i was thinking of trading in my 3.0 volvo stern drive.the guy at the marina said with only using the boat like 10 times a year i would be better off with an outboard .What do you think?I mostly go to lakes like winni and lake george

    tempeture for volvo engine

    I have a 3.0 1989 volvo penta IO with a closed colling system.After 5 minutes of running itgets up to 185 degrees is this to hot?I usually shut it down for feeling it might overheat i just got the boat

    vhf problems

    I hooked up a new vhf to my boat when i went to put the antenna on it stopped working i checked the fuse it seems fine could i hae done any damage when i hooked up the antenna that would stop it from working

    Drain plug coming out

    my other boats had a threaded plug in them this boat doesnt, so i have a plug with a turn key that I got at wal mart and you put it in and turn the key. I guess the pressure keeps it on.Has anyone ever had any of these fall out or is it not a worry.

    Island camping at lake george ny

    Im going to camp in the middle of june on one of the islands.Any adise about checking in or where to launch and store trailer would be helpful.
