    Any opinions on rhoads lifers in the 3.0/140hp engine?

    I was thinking of using these in my 3.0 140hp rebuild. I like the idea that they could reduce the cam size which could give me more hours on the water trolling while getting max power out on top. <br /><br />Has anyone else looked into them and or used them?

    aluminum 470 block and head, unltimate motor?

    I have heard they have has sealing problems, but, this due to overheating and, or, metal differances. If I go all aluminum, would this be a great engine setup? I love the idea of light weight and lots of power, but, still wonder how reliable (the engine itself) would be.

    3.7/470 5" cooling

    Anyone ever try to fabricate, or, use another cooling tube for this engine? Use something from a 454 or make one? I know, maybe too much cooling you say, but, I would rather run cool that overheat this type of aluminum block.

    I was thinking about getting a 3.7 470 block and throwing an aluminum head on there. Has anyone done this before, and, could I go to raw water cooling if i wanted?
