    Need Help 50hp Merc

    I have a 50hp merc 4cyl serial#5951050 i think its an 82 model... cant get any fire to the 2 lower plugs... replaced both coils still nothing. could it be a stator problem or power pack? if so does anyone know how to check to see which one is bad? any help would be appreciated.......

    I have an 85hp evinrude (1976) model#856930 serial#j0007213 motor runs great at idle and really has a good take off it will reach max speed... BUT once it levels off it looses power and starts to surge (but never dies) just put in new fuel tank,primer,and fuel line. but didnt change...
