    40HP Mercury knocking

    I have a 40 HP 2003 oil injected 2 stroke... It starts right up every time, runs strong but has a knock to it... Is there anyway I can tell if the oil is being injected correctly? The oil tank is up in the motor, but I can't tell if it's actually injecting... Any other ideas I can check...

    I have an early 80's Mariner 9.9 Outboard... It runs really well, but I would like to move just a little bit faster when cruising in my 14ft jon... I run a lot of 10hp restricted lakes so I can't increase my HP... Will changing the prop do anything to increase my max speed? Can I do anything...

    9.9 stalls at idle

    I just had my fuel pump replaced for my Mariner 1989 Mercury 9.9 motor (serial #OB388303)... I got it back and I started running it... It runs really well when I give it gas, but when I take it back to idle - it just dies... Do I need to increase the fuel flow when idling? How do I do this...

    I am having trouble starting my 9.9 mariner... Sometimes it starts on the first pull with the choke on and then dies...     Impeller Change - Can I do it myself?!?

    1986 Mercury 9.9 - Gas/Oil MIX?!?

    I have a 1986 Mercury 9.9 outboard. I don't have the owner's manual and I don't know much about this engine.
