    1992 Merc 115 no spark on one cylinder

    I've replaced the coil, not the problem. Based on what I've read it's the switch box, stator, or trigger. I don't have a clue as to how to test to see what the problem is. Where do I start?

    115 Mercury 2-stroke no power - only 2800 rpm

    Just put the boat on the water for the first time and I can only hit 15 mph at 2800 rpm. It just won't run any faster. What's wierd is if I steer HARD to the left rpms jump to around 3500 then about 10 seconds later it dies. After it dies I can restart it and do it all over again. It idles...
