    New thermostat question.

    I finally took out the stuck open thermostat out and put in a new one. I started the motor and let it run for at least 10 mins the thermostat did not open. The gauge read about 90F and I don't understand why the engine is not warming up. I only ran it on land with the water ears on. Is this ok...

    Engine smoke

    I have had my 89 85hp force for some time and I am know that they smoke due to the gas/oil mixture and I was woundering if I can change the mixture to 40;1 to lower smoke and not do any damage.
