    Is it ok to change mercury tank connection to an evenrude?

    Constantly hae problems with mercury tank connection leaking. I don't like the design with the o ring. Would changing the quick connect to an evenrude design cause any problems?

    Backlash measurment 68 Merc 110 9.8

    Not sure I interpeted the backlash procedure. When I turn prop shaft to the point that the pinion gear does not engage the reverse gear there is about a 1/8 of a turn clockwise/counter in the prop shaft to drop in.     Can you still get Perfect Seal?

    Rebuilding LU and manual says use Perfect Seal a few times. Can you still get the stuff?
