    SS prop performance changes

    Have an 07 Hurricane 196RE with a FS115 Yamaha. With the stock prop it ran 40mph with a max of 5800 rpm. At approx 20 hrs I got a minor ding in that prop and elected to go with a SS Stiletto.     Fan under cover

    I know it's cold where most of you but here is SW FL it's pushing 80. I've got a new boat with a black cover. Will be deadly in the summer. Has anyone ever used a fan under the cover to help cool it down, keep it dry and reduce mold??

    Got a new 115 Yamaha. the pitot hole for the speedometer is quite small and ALWAYS gets clogged making the speedometer fairly worthless.     Just got the above boat and it came with a decent cover but it is unfortunately BLACK. Living in SW FL the sun will probably melt the boat in the summer. Do they normally come in black or can I lay my hands on a white one somewhere?

    Thrust Washer

    Replacing the stock prop on a F115 Yamaha outboard with a Stiletto. Suppossed to reuse the thrust washer but am not 100% sure if the coppery looking raised section in the attached photo is actually the thrust washer. (couldn't get it off).
