    I am swapping out my power head with a rebuilt, zero hour ph. I have a 60 degree v6 175 johnson & the ph that was sent has a different casting for the shift linkage on the block...It is physically different, the old ph had a straight rod from the shift linkage to the shift rod, the rod passed...

    1997 Johnson 175 Fast Strike

    I am looking at buying a '97 Johnson 175 Fast Strike, and the compression readings are #1-98, #2-100, #3-96, #4-95, #5-88, #6-90. Are these readings consistent with its age or does the #5 & #6 reading give concern as to the engines life expectancy?
