Hello all, I just rebuilt a nissan 8 hp lower unit and ive found that the lower unit oil tan in color and lowered viscosity,after 4 hours of run time,is there away to tell conclusively if theres salt water in lower unit oil?
Question:Nissan 8 hp -what happens when shift is put in foward,neutral,reverse.I know shifter bar moves a pin in front of propshaft but im lost as far as to what happens next?does prop shaft move to pickup gear? why doesn't prop slide in and out?
