I have twins 2001 Merc 5.7 L carburatror, one engine starts fine but dies after 10 to 15 seconds. During this period I can accelerate up and down but stills dies after 10 to 15 seconds. I do not know if the problem is electrical or carb related. I currently have the boat out od the water.
