    Oil for distributor

    My dad has a 1974 Penn Yan with an OMC 250 HP 5.7 liter inboard. I just changed the points and it is running great again. I noticed the Mallory distributor has a little oil cup. When I looked in, it looks dry. What kind of lubricant does it take? A little SAE 30?
