    Trim/Tilt motor "MAYDAY"

    I have a 1988, 21' Seaswirl, with a 5.0L 2barrel, OMC/COBRA. The Trim/Tilt motor works normal when raising the outdrive, but makes a cherping squeeling noise, as it is lowered. And will also make a slipping/thump of a noise when I troll at my slowest speeds (2.4>3.0 mph). It runs great at 35mph...

    1988 SEASWIRL 5.0L OMC/COBRA Tilt/trim motor noises.

    Hey Guys, my 88 seaswirl has a 5.0L omc/cobra sounds fine bringing up the trim to full, but when I lower it, I hear a screeching squeel, and it doesn't lock in the down position, and will make frequent thumping sounds while trolling at low mph (2.4mph). Please help. Thanks Vic:
