    1983 9.9 dies at high rpm

    I just resurrected an 83 Evinrude 9.9. It starts first pull and idles beautifully. As I run it in my test barrel and give it some juice it will suddenly die and loose spark. Is this a coil problem or is there an other possible answer to this dilemma? Thanks for your assistance.
