    spark plugs ? 1988 140hp johnson

    i got these to # ql78yc or l78yc i believe these are racing plugs.. but all the listings for plugs for this motor lead to these. i know its a v4 big bore looper.i dont want to burn the motor up if these are not the plugs for it. j140txcc model

    steering cable are the same on all models?

    im changing engines from chrysler to johnson outboard. wondering if the steering rod will work.i dont want to have to change the steering wheel and cable if i dont have to? the steel end looks the same...connects different. but i can manage that.

    exchanging motors. worried about weight difference

    i have a set of twin 1979 700 chysler skiers...i want to remove the 2 of them and replace them with a johnson 1985 140 hp..single engine...my worry is the weight seeing how the 2 chryslers bring down the back of the boat. to wear the water flows in at launch...the boat is a 1974 20ft...

    there is a unit on this motor witch is belt driven from the fly wheel. at the bottom of this unit there is a distrubtor cap i cant find this part or any other parts like the belt itself needs replaced. is there a site with a motor breakdown of these units so i can identify what they are>

    another reason vro alarm sounding off/oil is present?

    j140txccm running this motor on muffs. after 2 to 3 min vro alarm sounds beep......beep...... beep i believe a constant alarm is overheating. i squeeze the bulb when off the engine. oil squirts out. at this time i have a 26 to 1 oil ratio in the tank for safety reasons. with the vro also...

    1988 140 hp johnson ob has the lower unit off and a new water pump completely rebuilt. before this work was done there was no water comming out of the little hole in the motor housing. like a relief hole or something.maybe it was the pump? not sure but want to run water thru the system before...

    electrical leads from vro tank {hook up}

    my manuals doest say where the leads from the vro tank connect to on the engine i believe there are for the alarm. 1988 140 hp johnson the motors up and running just need to know where to connect the tank to.
