    The braces are low on each side of the main stringers. The transom on my 82 model was 3 pieces. I replaced my transom this summer. I used 10-32 truss head screws, locknuts to replace the rivets I drilled out to remove the splash well.

    I have a 87 35 hp force motor and a 14ft starcraft v thats rated for a max of 45 hp. I would like enough speed to tow 2 kids on a tube and 2 adults on board.     converting 59 rude short shaft to long?

    I have a good running evinrude v-4 50 hp,59 model. Only trouble is the shaft is not deep enough for my tri haul. Any idea what year long shafts will fit and all the parts needed. I would assume it's more than just the extension part in the center.
