After changing the impeller, I put the LU back on and got nothing coming from the tell tale. Took LU back apart and blew 120 psi air up the tube to the head to check for obstructions. Got a little bit of air coming out but very weak. Next I rigged a hose to the tube with low water pressure and started getting water pouring out the drive shaft housing and still nothing out the tell tale.
Thought maybe the tube to the head had a bad connection and was leaking there so I took out the bolts that holds the power head to the lower cowl/leg. I couldn’t get it completely apart because the control handle linkage looked too complicated to take apart, but I opened it enough to see where the water was coming from. There are 2 ports on the bottom of the power head where all the water was pouring out whenever I put water up the tube from the water pump.
I tried to get a picture of one of the holes below here. Can anyone tell me what’s going on here and how I might fix it? The service manual I bought for it isn’t giving me even a clue and I’ve scoured the internet and this forum for an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
