My father hasn't used his rig for over 8 months, so i'm a little concerned about the fuel inside the engine. He didn't stabilize the fuel prior to storage. Is there something I can do or do I need to haul it to a dealer. Thanks for your help.

Bad Fuel, has a real strong smell, crack the VSE drain plug, if you gag its rotten gas, drain VSE, and replace Water seperating fuel filter on engine,
Stick your nose in the Fuel filler on the boat if tank gas is bad, siphon it out.
Cheers

If in fact it is only eight months old, I doubt you will have any problems. If the tank isnt full, top it off with fresh mid grade fuel. After running it for a bit, change the water separator, if it has one. I personally have never had eight month old fuel go bad enough to cause a problem unless it got a bunch of water in it. It may not run perfectly on the older fuel, but I dont believe it will hurt a thing.
