Sorry for the long winded post. I have a 2001 Johnson 115 carb motor. The motor will start fine and idle fine when I take off for the first time on the lake. The problem happens when the motor sits for awhile while fishing. I will go to take off and it will start great but has a big hesitation when you hit the throttle. If I let off and push in the choke for a few seconds while taking off it revs back and runs great again. It never bogs down while running down the lake only after it sits for awhile. Or once and awhile after it just sits and idles for a few minutes. It will always start and idle great that has never been a problem

What I have done/had done.
New Plugs, Coils checked and seem fine, New fuel lines and primer bulb, had the carbs rebuilt, put in a new fuel pump, the vent line seems fine on the gas tank can blow air through it easily, gas pickup in tank seems fine, and the fuel filter looks clean. Compression is 130 on each cylinder and stays the same after motor runs and gets warmed up and when it acts up. And i had a lync and sync with a timing adjustment

Any ideas would be great, been an ongoing problem for the last few months, thanks in advance. New boat to me a few months ago and haven't gotten it to run right.yet

Thanks in advance

That seems to be an issue on that family of motors. I have not found a fix. Running it a few minutes at idle before shutting it off may help. Running a few minutes at high idle when restarting may help as well.
