Hi Guys. I have an '01 Sea Ray with multiple engine issues. It has a Mercruiser 3.0L 135HP. The engine stalls around 2500 rpm's when advancing to WOT. I can only get to 2300 before the engine stalls out. Also, when advancing the throttle the engine produces a squealing sound but goes away once I go back to idle. I glanced at the gauges and I have 0 to 10/15 psi on oil pressure. My temperature gauge is reading around 105 degrees. I disengaged the drive and advanced the throttle and got the same squealing/ stall result. On shutdown the engine was not hot but I did notice the engine oil milky and some oil coming from one bolt on the valve cover. I have noticed the oil milky the days prior but I thought that might be condensation from the boat sitting so long. The engine ran fine on the muffs the day prior with engine oil pressure around 40 to 50 psi. Any ideas as to what's going on?

The WOT problem could be related to my bad gas problem I had when I bought this boat. The boat had sat for three years prior to me purchasing it.
I replaced the fuel filter and drained all remaining fuel from the lines and tank, but it looks like my carb may need to be rebuilt. Any help would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!

Re: '01 mercruiser 3.0L WOT issues

Well fellas I found the problem. My timing belt cover corroded away from the inside out and the oil slung out from the blown seal everywhere in my engine compartment. I lost almost all engine oil which resulted in the oil pump cavitation and spun bearings. Looks like an engine change....ouch!
