01 Mercury 125hp elpto starting procedure

I was wondering if anyone had a starting procedure for 01 mercury 125hp elpto. It takes a few times to get the motor to turn over and keep running. After I get the motor started it runs fine. But if I fish for awhile the motor doesn"t like to start on the first crank either. Any thoughts.

I have the same motor on my boat and experience similar problem. I often have to trottle forward to get it going during starting. Sorry but i'm not sure if this is proper starting procedure.

by the way, do ever have an alarm (continuous beep) sound for no reason after the motor runs for a while?

If it's not starting, put it in neutral, give it some throttle and hit the primer a couple times. After your motor cools down a bit while fishing you need to go to something like a 1/2 way cold start procedure.

I never have a alarm or beep when the motor is running.
