Just purchased an '02 KW 1720. With all the ethanol issues, were the fuel lines ok for ethanol fuels in '02?. Should they be replaced?
Thank you in advance,
George

Re: '02 KW-Replace fuel line?

I'm using ethanol in my 1994 and it's been OK thusfar. The only lines I've really heard of that had problems are the silver Mercury/Quicksilver ones where the inner liner disintegrates.

That said, I am sure the ethanol will dry out my 15-year-old rubber lines in a matter of a few years. I already see it hardening the small fuel lines under the outboard cowling that run from the fuel pump to the carbs.
