This is my first post but I've been reading for a while. I have a 2002 Larson LXI 210. I've had it for about 2 years and love it but the previous owner didn?t maintain some things as well as I?d have liked and now I?ve gotten around to trying to fix them. So i am hoping some of you Larson owners have some experience with some of these things and can make these repairs easier.
First thing is the metal cover that surrounds the hook on the bow, it fell off, i can see it was held on with 2 sided tape previously, these seem to be half assed to me. How do you guys put this back on? 2 sided tape again or can i epoxy it or something similar.
Second problem is the passenger seat, the sliding and rotating mechanism. This never worked great but it worked until one day my buddy went to rotate it and the seat came off, a spring and a lever arm fell into the support and when i took everything apart to get to the parts i found a TON of plastic shavings and metal shavings, the lever arm was worn down and the spring was destroyed. The actual support looks to be distorted and metal shavings have come off of this. Is this normal wear and tear? I think i need to replace the support, the lever arm and the spring, as well as the plastic sleeve that i believe is used as a friction slip. Another thing dealing with the seat is i was walking around with it and realized there was water in it. After shaking it in every direction and not being able to get it out i gave up and put it back together without the mechanism for the time being.
Third problem, the bow light is loose, don't know if something is stripped or what, i was thinking of using something like a molly bolt or some type of anchor.
The rest of the things wrong are carpets rotting and pulling snaps through and needs a waxing and a light cover. Where would you recommend I purchase carpets and the courtesy light cover from? Also what kind of wax would you guys recommend
Sorry about the long winded post, I just want to get all of this done and do it right, it drives me crazy going out on the weekends with all of this stuff going wrong.
Thanks
