A few months ago I posted about a 02 dt150 that was smoking excessively, after a compression check I found all cylinders to be in range 115-120. I decided to purchase the motor and finally got it on the boat, now I'm getting an alarm code2-1 which is tps?! Am I correct? My question is would this be enough to cause the excessive smoke and cause engine to run rough? If I can get it into gear without it dying I can get it to WOT and run 59 mph, but if I back off the throttle it dies. It is also burning alot of fuel . I did notice a sheen around boat when I stop. No leaks that I can see. and all new tanks lines filters etc. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance
