Just changed out my impeller, housing, gaskets, orings etc. on a 02 200hp hpdi because it didn't seem to be pushing much water through the p-hole. At idle for long periods I would get the warning buzzer. Motor felt hot when it beeped steady. Its an average steady stream but not strong unless I go above idle. A friend has the ox66 model and his seems to pump alot stronger. Motor has 146hrs on it so it def wasn't used much. After doing some research,A few people are saying poppit valve and stats,Does this sound right? I'm new to Yamahas...

if pump is new, then there is a restriction. could be t-stats or popit, debris/weeds off the water

poppit valve is likely stuck open from sand.

Re: 02 Yamaha 200 Water pressure issue

Changed out my stats and poppet valve today, water pressure is much better. The old style poppet was pretty dirty and had a few pieces of sand and small pieces of seaweed under the cap. The new mushroom style is just a better design. Thanks everyone
