"03 Merc. 115 Tilt/trim assembly pin stuck

Trying to get the lower swivel pin out and have soaked it and beat it with a long rod and mini sledge and it won't budge! The retaining pin is out. HELP! Thx.

Try heating it up with a torch and then remove the heat and spray it with penetrating oil. As the metal cools, it should suck some oil into the joint.

​Also, the aluminum casting should expand more than the stainless steel pin. So hit it when it is still hot.

Thanks Chris1956. Did heat it no luck. Took out the three bolts each side and removed the whole bracket, changed the motor and all is well!
