First post...hello fellow boaters. Having issues with stbd motor. It was hard start last two times out and wouldnt get up to speed properly. Seemed to be fuel starvation and checked fuel lines and primer bulb through racor and fuel flow adequate.. changed racor and vst mntd filters anyway. Backed out both drain screws and fuel present both sides. Noticed initial 2-3 sec bump of lp pump irradic and jumped pump directly..it runs fine. Didnt and dont know how to test hp pump but feel problem exists because i think lp pump should "bump" prime vst upon initial keying every time regardless of presence of fuel...but fuel is present. Could issue be with ign. switch or is there something in circuit that would cause lp pump to only work sometimes and then starve motor irradically. Fuses all seem to be fine (20 amp..as per manual are pump circuit ) Switched ecm from other motor to rule it out and other motor runs fine on either ecm. Is something else causing pump not to receive current? Why did problem seem to worsen gradually to a no start situation ? I dont have diagonistic ddt tool and am trying to rule out the basic items before I call in the "big boys" Anyone have a similar issue?
