04 SeaRay 220 sundeck depth reading issue

I just got my bosses boat for the summer and he had said at one point he was able to get a depth reading then it just stopped. The boat has a through-haul with a a wire titled depth sounder. I don't have a fuse titled depth sounder nor do I have a menu function showing a reading.

Any ideas????

I?d start with a test light at the positive and negative leads at the back of the display. Then you?d know if the problem is the boat wiring or the display/transducer.

Make & model?
Lowrance, for example has a known defect.
