Hello everyone!
Just got a new to me 2005 225 opti with 1700hrs showing on the smartcraft.
Some month ago it started making some squealing noise mostly when cold in the morning. Checked it out and found the belt worn out and slipping. No biggie, replaced belt, bought a spare as well, you know just in case. Noticed some belt wearing dust (rubber dust) all over the compressor which was cleaned with compressed air.
Now the noise it's making a comeback, inspected the belt, looks like it's starting to wear again, rubber dust on the compressor and surrounding area.
The motor seems to be missing when cold and that coincides with the noise.
Wondering if anybody else's got this problem. Not worried about the belt, much, but I would hate to have the compressor seizing or something like that while under my watch.
