05 8hp 2 stroke wont pee!

Instead of a steady stream, water is just dribbling out. Checked the water pump and its in good shape. Pulled the two inspection curves and the thermostat and everyhting looks good there as well.
My only thought is that some sand has clogged the pee hole.

could be, I use spray carb cleaner with the little red tubes to back flush them while its in the water running.

or you can take a thin wire and wiggle it around in the hole while the engine is running .....

Clogged pee hole will do it everytime. Mine clogs up every year, and no matter what I do, I'm still in there with a paperclip cleaning it out. It's such a great motor, I'm half tempted to rip into her and replace the entire cooling circut.

I used a small piece of wire to dislodge the blockage while the motor was runing. After several tries its operating normal now. Wish i would have done that before I tore the lower unit off and removed the cooling galley inspection covers!:$

yeah, it is better to look at the simpler things first before you start swinging the spanner .... my 15hp cloggs every couple of weeks from little bugs and spiders that makes their nest in the pee hole ....
