So the other day took the boat out and half way across the river the rpms dropped out of nowhere. But it was still rolling at about half speed so I just kept going until I got to the Sand bar and parked it for the day. I took the cover off and peaked around and had my wife put the throttle down to look at the linkages which all looked good. So I remembered I didn't prime the fuel before we left and just figured I'll see what happens on the way back. Well... Fired it up fine then it stalled, so I fired it up again gave it gas alittle which went right up no issues in neutral, let the rpms go down and before it puked again I put her in gear and gave it some throttle and started along back to the marina. Gave it full throttle and it only got about half way in rpms and stayed there, but i was going so I wasn't stopping until I got to shore. So we made it, slow ride but we made it. Went to trailer it and it died at idle, fired it back up and throttled it up again and geared it before it died and played throttle puncher to get it on the trailer without puking again. So my question is would a cylinder not firing do this? Or water in the fuel? Crack in a fuel line letting air in? Its at the marina so I can't diagnose it very easily and I'm not ripping the motor apart there but if I had a few ideas of what to check it might be a easy fix. Save me marina boat repair prices. Anyway any input would be helpful.
