19' Larson Sinking victim. Our boat sank last Fall, twice. Don't ask. Oil changed and ran great. Went for a few rides late season after the sinking to get it hot. Stored hanging in a boat house sub-zero at times over Winter. Put back in mid May and fired it up. No down trim. Goes up but not down. Same result with both engine tilt switch and control handle switch.
Don't know the first thing about this trim. Reversing motor? Two solenoids? Hydraulic valve? I did pull the cowling and tweek the connectors by the trim switch. I did not pull them all apart. Thanks ahead for any help, C.

Re: '06 DF140 trims up but NOT down...

Sorry, I missed the related threads.....
Looks like the trim relays. I was just in there for the first time tonight. Are the trim relays in our DF140 behind the plastic cover, above the trim switch on the port side? I didn't notice a different color.. How do I know which one is which? Thanks again, C.

Just a follow up to my problem... I have the larger 2004-2010 trim relay with pigtails coming off and going down lower than the main cover. I removed the relay itself and took it out of its rubber cover. I held the engine trim switch down and whacked the relay with the handle of a screwdriver. It's working now both up and down. I think I'll pick one up.. C.
