I have a 08 tahoe deck boat with a Mercruiser 5.0 carburated motor. It has the alpha outdrive. The motor will crank and run, but quickly runs out of gas. After some diagnosing I have discovered the fuel pump cuts off after the motor is running. I get fuel pump activation with the key switch and it seems to be running while the starter is energized, but it cuts off once the motor starts. I can jump the wire and the motor runs perfect on the hose with no alarms.

I have isolated the motor from the boat with another harness, so I don't think it is a key switch. I am not gettting any kinds of alarms, although I know this system is pretty basic. I am just wondeirng if something like and oil pressure switch or a bad coolant switch would cause the fuel pump to cut off? I seems like these switches would cause an alarm, but maybe i am wrong. Any help would be appreciated. I know people on here like the serial number, but i don't have it available right now, I will try to add it later today.

You probably need a new oil pressure switch that controls the fuel pump. Or check the wiring to it. The switch is usually just above the block mounted oil filter boss.
