Hi all! I'm new to this forum so bear with me.
I need help. I'm in the market to purchase a 09' Wellcraft 210 fisherman center console w/ 200hp yamaha outboard. I heard the hull was redesign similar to the sacrab model. The price tag is $30,800 at the boat show. It's a basic model w/o rest cushion or t-top. I'm torn between this boat and a new
08' SeaPro 206 w/175 merc outboard and t-top. The only problem with the Seapro is that it went out of business last year, but I have a local dealer that's selling it, so they will honor all warranties.

How do these boats handle out in the open waters. I live in San Diego, and I was hoping it would be a smooth ride out to the Coronado Islands. Is the hull design on the Wellcraft better? Yamaha over Mercs...Please help. Can't make up my mind.

Re: 09' Wellcraft Fisherman 210 center console

I can't speak to the engines but we have a 21' Wellcraft Fisherman and the hull and design is great in fairly rough seas.

We've taken it offshore a couple of times and handled the rollers well but we usually fish the bay. The bay can get rough since its so shallow and I would always rather be on our boat than any of our friends who do not have a deep-V hull. It takes the waves very well. We come to the dock dry, they are soaking wet. :p

We had a T-top custom made for the boat and are so glad we did. The whole things retracts so that we can lift it higher in our boat slip.

We are VERY please with the boat.
