090 block dipstick tube pressed in?

Im trying to find the correct dipstick tube for my block i bought a tube off ebay but not sure it is the correct one it does not fit the hole.20230315_171250.jpgFB_IMG_1678978360430.jpg

This is a 4.3 vortec with aluminum pan.
The one on my aluminum pan 4.3 went into bottom of oil pan on port side. The bends on that dont look like they will fit upon that block location.
do you have a merc serial number on the engine ?

If the dipstick is in the block, it's a press fit.

I have a pair of vice grips I modified to clamp on the tube to pound in with a hammer

Btw,.... By the looks of that starter wirin', yer gonna have a no start issue fairly soon,......
