0mc prop fits mercruiser drive??
hello guys . i have a 1989 searay 220 da 5.7L 260 horse power, dry weight about 4000 lbs everyone said i should be running a 17 pitch prop but right now i have to go all the way down to a ss 15 pitch prop to get my wide out rpm hole shot is great but top end sucks.

engine is running strong but i think the 15 prop is too low even tho it give me the right rpm. can someone give me some heads up on this. i had install a pair of exhaust flapper. in the y pipe it is that butterfly shape flapper, but the old ones i took out was totally diffrent, it was the one with the long pin holding the flap, could the new ones killing my power not letting out all the exhaust????

thanks for any info
