AQ125B/270

Guys, I have to replace the Paris Rhone alternator on this motor, It seems to be some confusion. I have been told that a delco 1 wire will work just fine, but The OEM PN# do not cross to any 1 wires, just 3 wires. If anyone has crossed this bridge, please help! Here is a link to an alternator that I think my work, but I could be wrong!

Replaces: Volvo-Penta 3850927-9, 3853853-4, 3854182-7, 3854809-5

This is for reference only:

Volvo Alternator

Thanks once again for the help guys!

Get the proper alternator for a 125B, or you will have problems with belts lining up, wiring hooking up, not being able to adjust it and all sorts of problems.

If you REALLY knew what you were doing and what to look for, you may get away with trying something that doesn't fit. But it sure doesn't sound like that is the case.

The proper alternator is what I'm looking for. I need the OEM part number. If I knew what I were doing I'd be a marine technician and would'nt need to be here. But I'm not, so here I am.

872235 is the newest number for the 125B alternator, the old number was 858839.
