10 HR Maintenance

Getting ready to perform the initial 10HR maintenance on my 2004 F150.The owners manual states that the oil filter is to be changed only after 200 HR/1YR, but the engine oil is replaced at 10hr, 50hr & 100hr. Why is the oil filer not changed with each engine oil change?

hello<br /> the 2005 tech guide says change the oil and the filter at the 10 hour check. I change the filter at each oil change.
