Re: 10 miron filter?
Is there any value to running a 10 micron fuel filter on my F 115 if I know that gas does not have ethanol?
10 Micron refers to the particle size that the filter will capture ie anything smaller than 10 micron will pass through, larger than 10 micron gets captured.
Where are you buying gas in this country that does not contain ethanol? When MTBE was removed the only viable(cost, availability, etc) was ethanol. There are some specially blended fuels available, but they are expensive and not exactly easy to find. Just because there is no sticker on the pump stating the ethanol content, does not mean that there is none. The use/requirement of these stickers is spotty at best.
boatguy thanks for your reply.
To be a little more precise. I am using a regular fuel /water sep filter but just wondering if 10 micron will be better?
thanks
By regular, I assume that your current filter is a 25 micron unit, so going to a 10 micron filter will provide better protection for your engine.
